When Should a Valuation be Performed ?
For Sellers:
A business valuation should be completed before listing the business for sale.
Ideally, you should have a valuation performed about a year before you want to
sell. This is because in many cases we can provide you guidance on what
you can do to maximize your sales price and not spend money on items you will
not be paid back for when sold.
For Buyers:
A business valuation should be completed before making an offer on a business.
The valuation will not only help you with the price to offer on the business,
but it will also offer suggestions on terms.
How Long does it take to perform a Business
Valuation ?
The business valuation for sellers and the full report for buyers takes
about 3 business days. The quick valuation report for buyers can be
completed during the initial call (assuming you have all the information
required - See Information Needed). Once complete the report will be
immediately emailed to you.
